Cleveland is located on the south shore of Lake Erie. It is known for its vibrant art and cultural scene and a fun fact: it has been even called the birthplace of rock and roll (and home to the Rock and Roll hall of fame).

What to Do in Cleveland

The West Side Market has over 100 vendors providing everything from fresh produce to ready-to-eat foods.
If you visit during the warmer months, visit the Edgewater Beach at Lake Erie. The beach is a short 10-minute drive from downtown Cleveland and you can also access it by bus.
Playhouse Square is a performing arts center worth a visit. Here, you can see a show and have dinner. If you don’t have a chance to go to a show on this trip, go stroll through the area and enjoy the architecture of the five main theaters built in the 1920s.
You can visit Rocky River Reservation. This reservation follows the Rocky River and offers many outdoor activities for visitors. During the summer, kayaking, fishing, and trails to explore. During the winter, ice skating, ice fishing, and sledding hills to choose from. If you decide to try your luck with fishing, don’t forget to get a fishing license online before.

What to See in Cleveland

An American tradition is watching the movie A Christmas Story every Christmas. Well here’s your chance to see the house from the movie. This is a must-visit for all the fans of the famous movie. You can tour the house and then visit the museum, which has original costumes, props, and memorabilia from the film. For a truly unique experience, you can even spend the night at the Christmas Story House or the Bumpus House next door.
The Arcade is worth a visit, to see the incredible architecture of the building inside. While there, you can do shopping or enjoy a bite to eat at one of the restaurants or cafes. Moreover, you can even stay at the Hyatt Regency located in the Arcade building.
The Cleveland Museum of Art offers everyone free admission to their general collection. Tickets are sold for special exhibitions.
While in Cleveland, be sure to check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Also, commonly called the Rock Hall tracks the history of Rock and Roll through over fifty exhibits. Here you’ll see such famous items as Elvis Presley’s military uniform, Johnny Cash’s guitar, Jimmy Hendrix’s Stratocaster, and more.
