Heritage Museums & Gardens has a beautiful garden to enjoy. Additionally, they have a museum with many gorgeous historical cars and other exhibits. Not only is the Heritage Museum & Gardens for adults, but they also have things to keep kids interested. Historical carousel and kids discovery area in a two-acre dry kettle hole, with a treehouse, water play, and other things to explore.

Furthermore, several art galleries and small shops can be found in all village centers. The whole day can be spent touring them if that’s what you enjoy.

When Is the Best Time to Go

Cape Cod is a popular vacation destination during the summer months. Warmer months are the best time to enjoy the beaches, especially because the climate in Cape Cod is more pleasant during the summer than in NYC. You can try to avoid the heaviest crowds by visiting in May, June, or September.

    How to get there

By car, it is about a 4.5 hours drive from NYC. If you don’t enjoy traffic, plan your arrival and departure times accordingly. During the summer peak season, the best times to drive are in the morning or later in the evening as when you get farther out, some of the highways have a single lane.
